Is it mobile? Can you feel it move when you chew on it or touch it? The cement that bonds it to the tooth will eventually fail, so it might be that.

Welcome to mumsnet. Smile

In my (limited) experience with one crown it should not feel like that. Mine is just as good as a real tooth and in fact probably more sturdy. I would seek a second opinion (sorry, I’m highly sceptical of dentists!).

No that sounds odd. I only have one but it's really solid.

I’ve had mine for a good few years, at least 6, and it’s solid and sturdy always has been. I forget I have one.

I’ve had a dodgy dentist in the past tho, get a second opinion, it doesn’t sound right.

Hi Op, I've got 3 crowns, one of which is 20 years old!. No they shouldn't feel like they are about to fall off. Mine just feel like teeth.
Go and get a second opinion off another dentist, they can wiggle it and see if its o.k. It might just be coming loose and need to be glued back on.
I've had 2 pulled off with toffees, but they were yanked off.
