When to be concerned with a migraine

Migraine has been raging for 4 days, have taken painkillers and migraine relief tablets but no let up.
I've not had one gone on for this long before, also having other unusual side effects such as crushing searing pain in head when moving, body feeling disoriented and unresponsive, and greater visual disturbances.
Do I just chalk it off as a particularly bad episode or should I be concerned?

Nope, go get checked out OP.
I suffer with migraines which are largely controlled and anything outside your 'usual' type in severity, length and symptoms needs to be checked out ASAP.
Hope you get sorted, even if it is 'just' a migraine that's particularly bad they may be able to give you something to help!

I had this, and still
Do, always a 3-4 day headache before my period starts. I went to the doctors and explained it felt like my eyes were bleeding it was that bad pain and it throbbed and I mean really throbbed! They gave me a prescription straight away and it worked within 30 mins. Please go to the doctors x

I suffer from migraines and one thing the doctor always said to me is that when a headache wakes you up in the middle of your sleep then it should be checked out.

Thanks everyone, have been to see the GP, got lots of lovely new drugs (prescription!) and am currently floating.
If it continues then some investigations, but hopefully a change of medication will sort it
