Blood test results Thyroid function

My teenage son has had this result back
Serum T3 normal
serum TSH abnormal 0.47
Not sure what it means!

That's a very good question.

I would guess that the T3 has come back within the reference range, but the TSH is below the reference range. That could mean all sorts of things. Are those the only results he has?

That's not very useful. You'll need to book a followup to get them to explain it to you and see if there are any next steps.

I have booked him a GP appointment as we also noticed he has got a lump in his neck, where his Adam’s apple is.
The only other abnormal blood results was low Vitamin D, he is always having a problem with that one.

Me too - I started taking 2000IU D3 tablets early this year, and haven't had a cold since I did. I'm a fucking martyr to them usually so I'm provisionally pleased with them.
