as I also had a coil fitted at the same time. Ive been on 7 days of antibiotics which I finished last week and now wheh I pass water it burns and is sore , even more than after surgery .

if you're having a burning pain whilst urinating, please don't try to self-medicate! see your doctor, you may have a urinary tract infection.

well the obv answer is go back to docs, but if it was me would assume it was thrush due to antibiotics.

yerrknow I shoud go back to gp , I wouod want the once on scrip anyway as still get them free, its just that Ive ived in hospital and gp last 2 weeks, it driving me crackers. May not get appt today now either.

If you say you think it is a UTI they should fit you in today.

get an emergency appointmment, mels. burning whilst urinating REALLY needs to be checked out by a dock.

i've had thrush a few times, but it doesn't burn when i pee - that sounds more like a UTI.

i wonder if some of it could just be your stiches mels.

TMI I get a burning when I pee when I have thrush due to um the itchiness causing areas of broekn skin near the fanj. If the burning is higher up then could be UTI which can go up to your kidneys - but odd as you have just been on antibiotics.

could be stiches , but its hard to tell , as they wernt itching like this before

It could be so many different things, that you really need to have it checked out.

You might be able to see a nurse who can have a look.

ok back , silly women didnt even examine me and was rather brusque and off hand, this is same gp who was not very sensitive when filling out referral for breast clinic and I cried with the overwhelmingness of it all, (see numerous threads on whats going on), & she didnt even examine me ,trundled me off with MORE antibiotics and canesten once. I may very well need them , but its not the point is it.

I complained to receptionist about her manner and the fact that shes medicated me based just on what I said , (I could just be a raving nutty pill popper who lied about symptoms) , so I think ethically to give me more antibiotics(see lump thread), is just ridic without examination after surgery is not on quite frankly.

receptionist said they will chat with another gp and get them to call me or seen later today again.

Its such a faff ,as it costs loads to park and have to organise dd1's nursery pick up.
