Swollen lymph node

I've had a swollen lymph node on one side of my neck since Thursday. It has gradually got painful and the pain is now radiating to the top of my head almost in a straight line - the pain is under my skin/or on the bone and it hurts to brush my hair or lie on that side. I don't have any sore throat and no other glands are swollen although under my arms feel slightly uncomfortable. I have random rushes of hotness (I've already had menopause 4 years ago) but I've not taken my temperature. Would you go to GP or wait it out?

As it’s worsening and you have other symptoms too, I would see a GP.

GP asap.

I agree that you should see a GP if you're worried but would also say, don't panic! I had a similar thing four years ago and was referred for an ultrasound as my swollen lymph node just would not go away. The ultrasound showed nothing suspicious and after 4 months it disappeared of its own accord. The GO said it had obviously just got a bit over excited doing it's job!

GP not GO..... Obviously 😬
