Sinus arrhythmia and bradycardia

A recent ECG picked up Sinus arrhythmia and bradycardia. The nurse told me what the ECG said but I won't see the Doctor until next week. Does anyone have any experience of this? Thanks.

Sinus dysrhythmia is normal (it just means your heart rate rises & falls a bit when you breathe in & out). It becomes less obvious the older you get usually. Bradycardia just means a heart rate lower than 60. It could be entirely normal (eg if you’re just reasonably fit) or it could be something that needs sorting out especially if you get symptoms because you’re going too slow/it’s an abnormal rhythm. If the nurse has just read what’s printed at the top of the ecg printout I wouldn’t worry - it’s almost always wrong!

That's reassuring. Thank you.
