Tips to get through day with anaemia

Has anyone got any tips on dealing with anaemia?

I know it will take a few weeks for the iron to help but in the meantime I feel awful, jittery, exhausted. No energy to walk around at work. I can' take time off as was off with surgery not long ago.

Anyone got any tricks, trying to limit caffeine so can't fire myself up with that even. Grin

My iron tablets always helped within a few days - always found that orange juice slightly helped too!

oh yeah forgot about the vitamin C with it, thanks! :)

B12 and b complex?

The ultimate solution is iv iron and I would ask for it if you are not getting a good response to oral supplements after a few weeks.

I’m with you on this one. I feel awful with it too and can’t work when my iron is at its lowest. An infusion can really help so I’ve heard. You might find the iron tablets kick in sooner. Take your vitamin c and b’s too!

Thanks for the advice.

Yeah it's horrible, I already feel off balance after surgery on my leg, could do without this dizzy feeling. Ugh.

Thanks again. x
