Over the last couple of months I've been getting a recurring irritated eye (red with a bit of yellow discharge) it usually lasts a couple of days then clears up but it comes with a bit of dull pain around my eye.
It came out really bad again yesterday and as I was in town I decided to see if I could get an optician appointment, I was very overdue a checkup anyway. While the optician was doing her tests she said there was something she wanted a second opinion on and went to get a colleague who had a look and they discussed I needed referring to the eye department at the hospital, so I've now got an appointment tomorrow morning at the hospital. It was something to do with spots on my eye (I think she said something like tannant spots).
I wasn't overly concerned as from the optician it didn't sound like anything serious, almost as though it could be an allergy, but when I got home and told DM and DSis they have gone in to panic mode and now I'm wondering about getting an appointment so quickly! Can anyone shed any light on it, maybe let me know that it's just standard procedure to be seen so quickly? I'm trying not to worry!
