I have had a constant period for six weeks with big blood clots. I'm 40 and really for the last few years have had bad periods even one stage I have had two periods a month. I get through so many pads a day.
I'm at my witts end now I've gone to my doctors so many times now and they brush me off with trans acid and painkillers.
I have a gp appointment tomorrow and hops she listens as its making so depressed specially with back pain to.
Has anyone have fibroids and what treatment did you have please.

Hi all last year I was bleeding seen 25 doctors over the space of the year. The bleeding was never stopping. And my iron level went down to 5. The doctors were just giving prescription after perscription. Clots were falling from me and I filled 3 pads every hour. They gave me scan nothing showed up. They then did a camera to see what the problem might be but stil no answers. This all went on for a full year. Then as if by magic my periods stopped for eight months and all the problems went away. I will add that it sent me to the complete edge I was crying everyday. I was phoning the samaritains as the doctors just didn't have answers. I lost 2 jobs in 10 months cause it was taking over my life. Fast forward to now and I stil don't have answers. But since December I have felt a lot better and haven't had a period. Until last week when I suddenly started bleeding again.. although it's not heavy so far. I an thinking either endometriosis or fibroids but it's so annoying cause living like that just isn't right physically or mentally. I hope you manage to get answers.

Has Endometrial Hyperplasia been mentioned by any of the doctors? After having my son I suffered terribly, symptoms similar to yours but lasted for around 6 months before I was diagnosed.

The doctors didn't have time they said cause it's been referred to a gynaecologist then it's up to him to work out what's wrong. So when he said nothing was wrong I was 😑🤔🙄😡😥 i was just past from pillar to post I dread it ever happing again cause it was the worst time in my life and to not get answers or solutions was worrying. To have to rely on google for answers when doctors should know there job is awful. I don't really trust the doctors at the minute all there good for is a bit a sympathy 😤

Thanks for all the replies it just seems doctors mostly brush us all off. The doctor put me on the pill you take all the time with trans acid tablets. But been referred for a pelvic ultra sound. Not sure this is the outcome I wanted.
