Flat stools

Any Dr's around? I've been producing flat, ribbon shaped poos for the last couple of months. No other symptoms except explosive wind (which is new too.)
Obviously I'm worried there may be some kind of obstruction causing the flatness...

Flat ribbon stools usually indicate inflammation in the bowels. See a doctor if it persists!

Thanks Buster. It has been going on for some time so I may need to pluck up the courage to see a dr.

I know Cher, but if it's something serious it needs to be addressed before too much damage is done, and if it's something simple then nip it in the bud and get on with your life without fear. I was ill for years without knowing, normal stools, but every 6 to 9 months I'd have terrible pains like child birth, but instead of trying to get a baby out I was trying to poo (or be sick), I was diagnosed with crohns about 20 years after having various symptoms (not all poo related) and as much as it depresses me, I'm glad I know!
