dd2 has knock knees and feet that roll inwards

She is just 3 and it's really noticeable. Do I need to take her to GP? I think I had this when I was a child and was given lumps in my shoes. Does anyone know if this still happens?

I would certainly take her to the GP to have it checked - my dd was similar and was told that her hips hadn't developed proper flexibility. She was given exercises to do and told to sit cross legged as much as poss to help the hips rotate. She hated doing it - and still finds it uncomfortable in her mid-teens - but she walks straighter now. No one suggested putting lumps in her shoes - sounds like you didn't like this, but don't let your bad memory put you off having her checked and getting some advice.

DD is like this, she intoes really bady and her knees rotate inwards.Her hips were scanned as a 9mth old as she was slow to sit but they were ok. I got her referred at 18mths, they said i was a hysterical 2nd time mum. i got her referred at 2 1/2 by my GP and H&V, this time doc was lovely, said not that unusual, usually works itself out, he would be surprised if it was still as bad in a year. We are down for recall to the hospital this september...if anything it's got worse. When she walks she can literally trip over her own feet as one or the other stands on its mate. Its upsetting, but they did say that there are loads of things they can do that help, so i am trying not to panic. My message in this ramble is, go with your gut instinct and get referred.THey don't like to do much at this age but it puts them on the radar. good luck.
