Prolonged bleeding 1st month on pill

Decided to go back on the pill after years of unsuccessfully trying for baby number 3. Only really to put a stop to thinking maybe every month.
Started first packet of microgynon on 1st day of period and am still bleeding 27 days later! It's not spotting, quite a heavy flow.

I've read breakthrough bleeding is normal as body adjusts but I am absolutely drained!!

Do I take next packet with no break? Stop taking it? I can't get a gp apt for 10 days....

Sob. I'm so exhausted.

I had this when i went on the pill for the very first time, it was light but bleeding went on for about 2 months before things settled into the expected pattern (and i had the breaks at the right time). But if you are worried see the nurse or GP.

Thank you I have booked an apt. I'm just reluctant to have the break if it means another week of bleeding, I'm so aneamic that I really can't cope.
