Had a wax on my bikini line today and not sure I should have a nettle sting type rash and bad itching. The therapist said it was hives and can be helped with piriton so going to grab some when I can put pants back on ha !

Have attached a pic to see what others think and is it common to have such reactions to waxing ?

It looks like you might be sensitive to waxing and the follicles are imflammed .They should calm down in a couple of days ,wear loose clothing and don't use anything perfumed on it..A topical ointment should help too. This can very rarely turn into folliculitis where the follicles become infected and the rash would develop with white heads. Some people will always have a reaction to waxing no matter what wax is used.Hope this helps

Was the wax used strip or hot wax? Hot wax is better for bikini area as it doesn’t pull on the skin.
