Dr N

I've been told be 3 people that eating local honey every day (spread on a piece of toast for breakfast perhaps) makes their symptoms go away completely. Might be worth a try? Got to be local honey thou

DrNortherner · 09/06/2007 11:40

Oh yes I have heard that. HATE honey though. But got to be worth a try I guess.

Could you eat it in a muffin?! You could bake some and substitute it for sugar? Might work

TwoToTango · 09/06/2007 12:08

Thats really interesting about the honey MamaG - where would i get local honey from? would Holland & Barratt do it - I live in West Midlands - would we have local honey?

MamaG · 09/06/2007 12:08

I'd suggest a local "small" shop rather than a chain - local grocer? Deli?

TwoToTango · 09/06/2007 12:10

Thanks MamaG - i'll keep my eyes open when I out - I suppose a farm shop might be a good bet

zirtec do NOT work for me

the ONLY thinsg that work for me are...

claritin (loratadine) at the moment im taking 2, 1 morning and 1 before bed.... not advised but i work on the basis the dose is for a 12 year old over 30kg, and i am way over 30kg, and there is a huge margin for error for drug to get a license anyway...

(my bosses are GPs and say its not gonna kill (or harm) me )

  • allergy relsief eye drops and nasel spray 4 times per day.

Really suffereng at the moment, though not even nearly as bad as when i was child / teenager...

and TMI here i still wake up every morning with my extreamly sore nose running with blood.... cause its SO sore inside having been sneezing / running constantly for the past month ish. (not a nosebleed, just like the skin has worn away and its now beelding.... quite gross but i used to have it worse)

Both homeopathy and acupuncture have a high success rate for treating hay fever.
