Impetigo

Hi

My son has been diagnoised with Impetigo and given 2 different types of antibiotics so far to take (he's refusing both). I've referred to the doctors again but they've advised I just need to get on with giving them to him.. easier said than done!

He's 23 months and they taste awful so I'm not surprised he won't allow me to get it into his mouth.. even when we do he spits it back out.

Doing that 4 times a day is a nightmare.

Does anyone have any tips on how I can get him to take it? Or if there are any natural remedies that might help for him.. I'm running out of options with the doctor being rather unhelpful :-(

I'm assuming they're liquid antibiotics?

If so, I'd disguise them in a drink your DS likes, something flavourful, like orange juice.

It's not ideal for sugar consumption, but it usually works, and a week of that won't likely do any harm in the long run.
