I think I should go and see my Dr. But I have a fear of wasting his time which is just how I am not because he is an arse or anything. The thing is, I have noticed a lot of change in my body over the last few weeks and it is getting worse. I will list the symptoms for ease of reading and if you could just say whether I shoyld get an app and whether it is at all urgent. I know you are not doctors but you can help me clarify my thoughts
-change in bowels. Was once every day or two and very satisfying. Now, 3 or more times a day, warm, messy and very uncomfortable and never feel finished.
-a lot of joint pain. I can hardly push babies pram soedays because my wrists are so painful with any pressure. This is mostly confined to my wrists and arms and my baby is large and disabled so I have to hold her a lot.
-my pelvic floor is useless and getting worse. I exercise it regularly and do Pilates but have noticed over last month or so a total inability to hold wee or poo and having to rush to the loo. Baby is 8 months old and this is fairly new.
-bloating. Almost all the time and belly feels firm like I am 12 weeks pregnant. i am not pregnant
-my face itches. I dont wear make up generally.
-nerve pain down my right leg. I have had sciatica at times but this is in a different place. Down the side from mid thigh to mid calf and I can't ease it.

  • i seem to have lost my strength. I have always been strong and able to lift most things. Now I am struggling to open jars.
-i am 39 and have 4 children.

I think you should definitely go to the GP. Take the list with you so you can be sure not to forget anything.

This could be nothing (some viruses can cause weakness, changes in bowels etc.) but could be something that needs investigating and only a doctor will know that.

This is what they're there for! The people who waste doctors' time are those that go with the first sign of a sniffle and want antibiotics for a cold. Your symptoms don't fall into this category!

I think you should yet a drs appointment, but unless your symptoms change or you feel ferry unwell I would think you could wait for a normal appointment. Do painkillers or anything else help with your symptoms?

I take paracetamol when the nerves and back pain flare up. It works ok most if the time. The pains are not severe but enough that I take care when doing things.

I forgot back pain in my list. Often around lower back and pilates has reallt helped it. But I alwats have pain on right side around bra

Agree you should get checked out. I've had viruses that are similar.

The bowel movement change sounds related to your pelvic floor. I think you should see a women's health physio. I would do this privately

I have just come back from dr.
I have bowel screening kit and a load of blood tests to do. The doctors seemed concerned and I will see them next week for follow up. I also have an app for womens health for pelvic floor next week as I wet myself getting baby in the car even thoigh i had been to the loo less than an hour before.Blush

Sounds like it could be Cauda Equina, the nerves affecting your bladder and bowel. It's a medical emergency, can cause paralysis.

I read about that on another thread today. It is what prompted me to post on here and call the dr but I don't think I have all the symptoms but am starting the tests tomorrow.
