What does it mean if you have one fibroid left?

I really couldn't take in what the hospital was saying to me today, I still have one lone fibroid in a 2 month period (womb).

I don't think this is too bad is it? I obviously haven't developed any more.

And what does pre cancerous mean? Doctor completely confused me today, he rattled off too many things at once. I will ask him at next appointment, he's just done my head in with this complete stream of information coming at me, I need time to assimilate

What do you mean by “in a two month period” and by one fibroid “left”? Have you had some treatment aimed at removing or shrinking it?

If you have one fibroid that speaks for itself. Some people have none, some have one or two which may or may not cause any problems depending on size & location, and some of us grow them like it’s going out of fashion.

The chances of a fibroid turning malignant are vanishingly small. They are not normally described as “pre-cancerous”.

Oh, I hemorrhaged a couple of months ago, I must have had a lot inside but they all came out apart from one, and at appointment today, two months later, there's still only one left, no more have developed. I guess I thought that was a good thing. It is a good thing, right? Even if the one left is a bit stubborn.

No treatment only norethisterone for the first month.

Doctor still needs to make sure there's nothing cancerous so we need to do more tests.
