I'm not sure if this is the right topic to post in but i need some advice. I've been getting quite stressed/feeling angry when i have PMT i used to get this when i was younger but haven't been like this for years. I am normally a very calm person except for about 4 days through the month when I seem to be flying off the handle at the slightest thing I use Rescue Remedy and this does help but didn't know if anyone else has this problem and could recommend anything different?

I'm not sure what to do really and was just looking for a bit of advice as i said its only for a few days a month but I just seem to take it out on DP and even the kids and its making me feel quite sad about doing this, not sure if I should go to my GP or if there is something herbal etc that may help

i'm the same, and the only thing that helps is exercise. but i never get the time to do any! i went to my gp and he put me on the pill which made me catatonic so i had to come off it. i had acupuncture for a while which helped but its quite a commitment going every couple of weeks.
hope you find something that helps. you're not the only one so don't feel too guilty.

Apparently vitamin b6 is good for pmt.You could try a b complex supplement.
I too am finding my pmt worse lately, but I am probably a lot older than you..44,so mine maybe to do with getting to the perimenopause phase

Pre-children I used to get like that in the week before my period. The most effective treatment I found was to take Pyridoxine (Vit B6) during that week. It's more effective if you start taking it just before the PMS starts, so if you are regular you can go by the calendar to predict when you need to take it. If not, then keep a diary and when you find yourself getting ratty, check whether it's likely that you'll be coming on soon and start taking it immediately. IIRC (it's been 7 glorious years since then) I needed to take enough to make my pee smell of brewer's yeast, no matter what the dosage was on the bottle. I didn't find it helpful to tkae the stuff throughout the month, as it seemed to make me a bit hyper.

Some people swear by Evening Primrose Oil, or by Starflower Oil, but I didn't find they did anything for me.

HTH.
