What could be wrong with my DH?

DH is mid 30's and in generally well health.
He is on one drug and that is a controlled one for opiate reduction management.
For a good long time now he has to strain to get the wee out when he goes to the toilet , almost straining and he is up in the night multiple times to urinate also.

What could be wrong?

Could be anyone of a number of things (including the opiates). Needs to see his GP to find out more.

GP also agree

Could be a sign of something . Could be nothing but it’s worth checking

Opiates can cause difficulty urinating (lesser known side effect)
