Peeing all the time, terrified

Hi, went the doctor today, for persistant weeing. Ive had this since Monday morning and it just came on overnight.
I am ovulating this week, so don't know if this is causing problems.
I saw the doctor today. Urine sample dip test was clear, no sugar in urine either.
Abdominal examination with hands was fine, she said she could not feel anything.
I've been sent for bloods in 11 days, plus bladder scan. She wasn't concerned, but it was more for my peace of mind. She fully expects them not to find anything.
Absolutely terrified it's Ovarian Cancer or bladder cancer.
Doctor thinks it's anxiety.
It doesn't wake me up at night.
I don't wee a lot when I wee and I don't have to rush to the toilet. I can stop myself from weeing, by ignoring it. But the urge is always there.
I have a smear test next week and very worried about it due to HA. Doctor thinks it may be anxiety.
Help!!!!

If it persists you could ask to have a sample sent off. Dip stick tests aren't that accurate and it could still be a urine infection.

Are you sure you are not pregnant?

Fisharesexy · 06/09/2018 18:36

Nope, definitely not pregnant.

High levels of calcium can cause you to wee frequently, ask that to be tested when you go, as well as Parathyroid hormone.

Silly question, but have you been drinking more than usual?

Fisharesexy · 06/09/2018 18:56

My mum died of lung cancer and my dad's sister died of ovarian cancer. I've had health anxiety since then.
I was very worried about my smear test next Wednesday, that I might have cancer etc.
I have made myself ill will anxiety in the past.
It's very draining.

Ovulation can cause alot of seeing according to my GP. It's something to do with pressure and swelling which does make sense. I get up in the night for a wee when ovulating

Riotheparrott · 06/09/2018 19:04

seeing=weeing

Watto1 · 06/09/2018 19:07

If your dip test is clear of sugar, it may well be just a little infection/cystitis. Try not to worry x

Anxiety makes me need to wee a lot so it could be that. Thinking about it all the time will make it worse too!
