Ear Pain Help

I saw a doctor recently and was diagnosed with a Chest Infection I said I also might have an ear infection based on how it felt but she said I did not.

So to treat my sore ear I got Otex, I get momentarily relief after use until the ear becomes sore, blocked and painful again within 20-30 mins

What else can I do?

Isn’t otex for ear wax removal?
Ears generally feel blocked from pressure inside the tubes in your ear. If you’ve had a chest infection or some sinus infection, this can also have an effect on your ears, but it doesn’t mean they’re infected too, it’s just a side effect.
Did the dr give you antibiotics?

Yes Amoxicillin but my chest is more or less normal now and my ear is still blocked

I do tend to produce a lot of wax and the Otex is crackling hugely when I use it but never feels like it quite hits the spot of the blockage
