My period was due on 15th August 2018 I done 3 tests which came back negative. My periods are never late and always have a 27-28 day cycle. I've all the pregnancy symptoms. I started bleeding on 2nd September which was very heavy and have never experienced anything like this in the past. I'm having lower back pain and pain in my legs and heartburn. Could I be pregnant as I'm still bleeding but less than before. I went to A&E yesterday and they only done a pregnancy test which came back negative and sent me home saying I should try and do another test at home in a few days. I'm confused me and my husband have been trying for a baby for 2 years.

Poor you, I think you need medical attention, call 111 and see how they can help you.Flowers do tell them about the pain.

Thank you for your reply. I did go to A&E and told me to take painkillers. The pain is better than before but I'm just confused if I could be pregnant.

I don’t think it’s likely you are or were pregnant if you are two weeks late and got so many negative tests. It sounds like your cycle was out of whack and cumulated in a heavy period. Maybe an anovulatory cycle?Im so sorry if this is disappointing but I’m aftaid that you will start thinking you’ve had a mis despite never having a positive test and drive yourself crazy. I’m very regular and just randomly twice in my life skipped a whole period. No reason. Got the next one.

I think after two years it would be worth getting checked out if you haven’t already. It can just simply take time, especially if you aren’t able to have sex during the peak every month.

Sounds like an awful period after a late one but if you can’t get the idea out of your head ask for a scan or pay for a private one, at least that way you’ll know.
