Why is Accord ranitidine not available just now?

Hi,

I wondered if anybody might know why Accord Ranitidine keeps becoming unavailable? I have tried other brands but they don't agree with me, so I keep having to make sure I have a few weeks supply available in case the Accord sort disappears for a while.

I work in a pharmacy and our supervisor said sometimes suppliers withdraw a product from the supply chain if they need to alter patient information leaflets (the ones in th medicine box)!or some change to the product itself. We have it all the time
With various items and it’s annoying for the patients (and for us because we try really hard to source the one the patient wants)

I'm glad it's not available I find the accord version to have a horrible taste it makes me gag when taking them! I currently have Noumed and they're great

Thanks daughterofanarchy. I hung on to the prescription and will just go back in few weeks to see if it's back in.

You may already have done this but if not, try a few other pharmacies in the local area they may have it on the off chance!
