thrush and antibiotics

I'm on a dose of two antibiotics following a post op infection. After the actual op I was given antibiotics and developed thrush. The woman at the pharmacy said that next time I should make sure I eat bio yogurt (I think?) to avoid it again. But I cant quite remember what sort of yogurt she means. Theres so many there. Also, she said that the anitbiotics kill all bacteria good and bad. So...what is the point of the bio yogurt? Wont it kill those bacteria too? Sorry to sound so dim. Any advice please.

This is also my problem after every time I have the bloody things! I do keep a note of which anibiotics make me worse and the docs have a note so they try not to prescribe me these one e.g trimethoprim I am terrible with for a UTI so they prescribe an alternative.

I always ask the to prescribe a thrush cream and pessary or tablet too if I know I will get it. I take that straight after I have finishedthe course, but I use the cream during the course. Yogurts have never helped me personally.

You can get oral thrush treatment fluconazole and cream off groupon cheaper than a prescription.

I hope you recovery goes well x
