Hello world. I am 3 days post surgery and in absolute agony. Days 1/2 were fine, slight discomfort but today has been hell. Anyone else recently in the same position as me? I’m taking the baths, the pain relieve, the laxatives but Omg the pain is unbearable, and Iv had a c-section. Anyone? Please 😭😭

Yup - it is agony! I really feel for you. Very sensitive area that.

Stand in the shower and squirt water at it via the shower head.

When I was in agony, they did an anal stretch - 4 fingers for 4 minutes (lovely) - under anaesthetic I should add.

See doc if it gets any worse - it should be improving soon.

Hey there,

Omg, that’s sounds horrific 😬🙈

I haven’t been for a #2 yet, so the fear is real. I know it will be worth it in the long run but holy cow it’s painful. If just applied germoline and a heat pad and that seems to be taking the edge off. I would pay for a local anaesthetic right now!!

Well the #2 came (rock hard) and I have been screaming and crying for hours. The pain is unbearable 😫 and I know it’s not finished. Any advise please 🙌🏼 I’m begging

You probably need to up the laxative; and also fluid intake. Passing stool in this situation can be very painful and that is normal and you have all my sympathy. Go back to surgery and get nurse or doctor take a peek at itand just reassure you all is well.It can be excruciatingly painful whilst at the sam etime progressing normally.

Thank you. I was admitted to hospital on sat and put on morphine, ice packs, local anaesthetic. Home now and feeling much better. For anyone reading this going through it or about to, everyone is different. I was fine till day 3/trying to open bowels. Now absolutely on the mend on day 5 and although stinging, managing the toilet fine.

How you're feeling better OP... keep the faith. Can I ask, what operation did you have?
