What have I done to my knee?

I got back from leading my DC on a pony (running in wellies) at lunchtime and my knee felt a bit funny - couldn’t squat right down etc - but didn’t hurt. I then did squat right down (I know) and now have shooting pain down the tendon at the back when walking and can’t put full weight on it. Anyone know if I’m likely to have done proper damage that needs medical attention, or if it might get better on its own?

Sort of thing I'd take to my chiropractor. They often sort that kind of stuff in minutes. If you can weight bear and there's no chance of having broken something then I don't suppose it's worth going to a doctor straight off.

I'd see a physio. My experience of GPs is that they're pretty useless with soft tissue injuries. By the time you get an appointment/get listened to it will have started to heal itself. Which it will. But, in the meantime you need help with managing the pain, the incapacity and the damage.
