codeine. Best cough suppresant i have had

thaegumathteth · 28/08/2018 19:13

How bad is the cough? How long have you had it?

Whooping cough can cause this

PestymcPestFace · 28/08/2018 19:19

It is possible to get a parred down version of whooping cough if you have been inoculated.

However, it is probably not whooping cough.

proudwoman92 · 28/08/2018 21:46

I did get inoculated when I was pregnant for this

But
The cough is something else
I've eaten a pear today

I feel rotten
I've taken codeine and it's helped

I was hoping there was another miracle anti tossante because codeine makes me nauseas the next day.

But at least I have stopped retching

I wonder where this cold came from.
Also have swollen glands. And a really sore throat. My Brag is that I never get a very very sore throat as I have no tonsils
It's been so sore that last night at 1am I went down stairs and had soluable paracetamol

My ears are sore and itchy too, is this a sign of whooping cough
The cough doesn't sound nice

With all your other symptoms I’d say it sounds more like a bad cold tbh

PestymcPestFace · 29/08/2018 14:33

If it has only been a week or two, you have a cold (they don't always involve snotty noses).

If you have been coughing for more than two weeks, go to the doctors.

proudwoman92 · 29/08/2018 15:00

I'm certain it's a cold
Today I am more mucusey
It's the worst
