Walking with my kids in Forest of Dean on cycle path. There is bracken fern all around. Suddenly worrying as seem to remember reading the spores are carconegic. We are not walking through but either side of path. Suffering from extreme anxiety and on tablets anway so extra stressed.

Bracken is carcinogenic, or so I read. But... never heard of anyone attributing their illness to bracken.

I remember being told that 25 years ago when I was a teenager walking through fields of bracken in the Mendips. I remember holding my breath Grin
Even if the spores are carcinogenic, I doubt one walk through bracken would hurt you. Surely it would have to be a build up over many years??
