Sorry to bother, but I'm in need of a bit of advice!

I've had what feels like a virus for just over two weeks: swollen lymph nodes, very sore throat, mild fever, aches and pains, feeling a bit run down. I expected it to clear up of its own accord, but I'm feeling if anything a bit worse.

I had blood tests done and everything came back more or less normal, except for the full blood count (everything was on the low side and the platelet count was outside the normal levels). However, that's not too unusual for me.

The GP said 'watch and wait', which I'm totally happy to do, but I'm struggling at work and feeling a bit knackered... Moan, moan! ;) And I'm vaguely worried that it could be mono or something and I might be laid up for months!! I'm definitely jumping to conclusions, but it's unusual for me to feel under the weather so I'm probably overreacting!

(Incidentally, I am not pregnant - although I did have almost identical symptoms when I was, minus the fever and sore throat!)
