White spots on tonsils

Woke up yesterday with a scratchy throat and white spots on my tonsils. Felt shattered all day. . Spots still there today and feel exhausted and generally under the weather. Dr Google says to just wait for it to ride it out as doctors rarely give antibiotics got for tonsillitis.... WWYD?

I am a regular suffered of tonsillitis. Some is viral/some bacterial so you never know if antibiotics would help. Generally I leave it and only go to the GP if it is too painful to swallow/eat. Keep an eye if it gets very painful or you feel very unwell as rarely it could be Quinsy, which must be treated.
