Anyone tried Nutramigen? Need advice before 10am today!

I'm taking my DS to the doctor today because I'm certain he has an allergy to cow's milk. I've heard that some doctors suggest Nutramigen but to be honest I'd rather avoid cow's milk products altogether until he's older. Has anyone tried Nutramigen for their allergic baby and if so, did your baby show any reactions?

My dd is unable to digest the protein in cows milk - she had really bad acid reflux, so bad that she had acid burn around her mouth. She started on Nutramigen in Jan, and the reflux stopped, like flicking a switch. Personally I think Nutramigen tastes disgusting, but dd is happy to take it. I use it for making cereal and smoothies for her, too.
