Colonoscopy: Picolax AND Moviprep?

I have a colonoscopy tomorrow at midday and have been given both Picolax and Moviprep to take - a sachet of Picolax, followed by 2 litres of Moviprep, and then another Picolax tomorrow morning.

From everything I've read online, people seem to be given one or the other - is taking both going to be a nightmare?

Any nurses / doctors able to shed some light on why I might have to take both?

Took my first Picolax an hour and a half ago and nothing's happened yet... due to start the Moviprep in half an hour's time...

I've had that combo.
I've had a couple of colonoscopies (I have diverticular disease) and it's an effective combo. I find nothing happens until the second lot of moviprep and then picolax and moviprep kicks in at the same time.

Then I spend the night in the loo!! What is given seems to depend on each hospital's policy, but the combo does ensure a totally clean colon! Good luck!!

Recovering now –that was NOT a fun afternoon but I'm over the moon to be able to have a proper cup of tea finally!
