Blood Pressure 177/121

I've just brought my daughter to the doctors and decided to take my BP. I've been feeling off all day. Very tired and light headed/dizzy. I have had these symptoms before but never had a high BP when I've occassionaly taken it.

Any ideas Why? Took it in my other arm after and it was a normal reading.

Are you saying you measured it yourself? If so, you need to get it done again by a nurse. Having different blood pressures in your two arms would indicate a structural abnormality that would have to be followed up, but it might be that your first measurement was artificially high because you'd just sat down after walking to the practice, or something along those lines. I think light-headedness is more often associated with low blood pressure.
