I am on the pill.

I usually have to change my tampons every few hours yet ive been bleeding (if you could even call it that) for 3 days now and the tampons have been pretty much clean with just a streak of blood and brown on them, I know this is TMI but Im concerned as I have been on the pill (on and off) for 6 years and never experienced this.

any ideas?

i couldnt be pregnant could I??

I have not missed any pills.

Well, as someone who conceived whilst taking the Pill (without missing one, and without having a tummy upset) I can tell you that pregnancy isn't impossible. No contraceptive is 100% effective, and pregnancies do happen even when they are used correctly.

There are other things which can cause period problems; underactive thyroid is one. But I think you need to rule out pregnancy first before you see the GP to find out what else might be causing it.

I would also say that you should probably need to do a test. Either that or a talk with your GP?

tortoiseSHELL · 04/06/2007 17:21

Definitely do a pregnancy test, and see the GP.

(Sorry, pressed post too soon, meant to say also that I hope you're feeling better soon!)
