Any Double Mastectomy Ladies? Need advice.

I had a double mastectomy with immediate implant reconstruction 4 weeks ago. I was a B cup and am now a C/D which I'm very pleased with Wink However my new boobs just seem SO far apart on my chest! My plastic surgeon said they will eventually be able to be squished together in a proper bra etc however at the minute I can only move them slightly together.
Anyone in this situation know how soon I can truly appreciate my new cleavage?! Smile

Don't mean to sound shallow or flippant, however after going through this at 27 my new boobs are the only silver lining I can find.

Hi,
I had a double mastectomy just over 2 years ago. I had implants and they are quite far apart! Not sure if other types of mastectomy would behave differently but mine were quite far apart from the start and they still are... Am happy with them though as they won’t kill me!!

Yeah them being healthy is the main thing. Just sad to think I won't be wearing low cut tops/bikinis anymore Sad

Can you not physically push them together? Mine are like 4 fingers width apart.

Some bras can push them together a bit. I know what you mean though...

Ill get used to them I'm sure. I love the round fullness of them anyway. Smile

Hi there..i had a double mascetomy 2years ago also..i also halve a 4finger gap inbetween my breasts..but its closed together with a bra..i have no feeling in them still and they dont feel like my own but they are a cracking pair! Much more pert and fuller then my old ones..i have put on alot of weight recently so they are currently quite big but havent lost shape..i decided against nipple reconstruction as i heard about the possibibilty of them going black and dying off..knowing my luck that would happen to me..meh who needs nipples lol..they are ugly anyway! Not much point i thought if they werent going to have any feeling in them.i have been on a waiting list for a year for tattooing and had letter today saying that it would be done in October if i wanted but im not sure if i will bother now.

Thanks for replying, I've accepted that they'll be wide without a bra but I'm hoping they'll loosen up to where I can push them together with a bra. Could you do that quite early on or did it take a while?
I love the fact they're so much bigger and rounder they are gorgeous just wide spaced!
My areolas were saved but obviously the actual nipple wasn't so I'm not bothering with reconstruction either, I don't see the point fot me. Only my boyfriend sees them, no one else would ever know so I'm not fussed!
