Help...headache doesn't go away

Since yesterday morning I have a terrible headache. Had to run away from work as I couldn't face the screen anymore. Over the day I have tried paracetamol, metamizole and even bitter coffee with lemon with no effect.

I thought it was just tiredness so I went to bed with baby DS at 7. He is sleeping fine (!) while I am awake in pain since 2 am. I shiver but doesn't look like I have a temperature. What should I do?

Is anyone else unwell? Had any tic exposure recently?

PleaseTryAnotherUsername · 15/08/2018 05:17

No, nothing relevant, only DS having had his 12 months jabs and being a bit tummy upset afterwards... I'm almost ok now in bed after another metamizole dose but I feel a sudden pain when I stand up.

I don't know if I am able to work today. Should I go to the doctors?

Is it like a throbbing in your head like a pulse of pain? If so I get those and it's migraines. Speak to the doctor and see if they can give you something a bit stronger for it. also plenty of water supposedly helps xx

If you are in the uk you could try ringing 111 for advice.

It's like my head being constrained into something really tight! Also, pain above my eyes close to the nose iyswim.

Yes I'm in the UK. Same day appointment lines at GP open 8.30, I'm going to try with 111...

Sinusitis? That can feel like constant pressure around your head and face.
