How do others deal with the shambolic admin and can anything be done about it?

They take ages to answer the phone
Have been given incorrect info re blood tests
4 out of five prescription repeats are meased up - half the prescription not there and their response is "yea there was a problem, come back for the bit we messed up.

There is no understanding that some people have full on jobs and are stretched to their physical and intellectual limits. Everything takes so long to sort out due to their errors. I don't have time to sort put their mistakes. My staff would apologise and empathise and they would be the ones to put in extra time to rectify their mistakes.

Dealing with the GP Surgery is seriously stressing me out. Can anyone suggest ways to make it easier.

I follow all the rules and don't waste their time. Yet they seem to have no issue at all with wasting my time.

Would it just be better to make an appointment in future for repeat prescriptions. 5 minutes of their time I know but it would save at least an hour of mine - every single time.

Complain to the practice manager and then look to move to a new practice . We changed from a shambolic GPs a couple of years ago when our actual Dr left and it’s been eye opening at how much more efficiently others manage their services . I was seriously ill last year and if we’d still been at the old place I reckon I’d be dead ( and I wouldn’t be the first )
