Wheat free, gluten free

I want to get a takeaway and if I am then if something has been cooked with wheat free flour will they laugh or should I ask if it's gluten not free? I'm avoiding wheat but I am finding that not everyone understands wheat free as easily as gluten free. I'm still learning too.

Just ask if they have a gluten free menu.

I'm not sure it's that type of takeaway but thank you. I'm going to see if I can find them on line.
