Squamous papilloma

Hope I’ve spelled that right! Went to the doctor this morning as the growth on the sid of my nose is getting bigger and bleeds occasionally. It’s not very pretty but I thought it was just an ‘aging’ thing and I can cover it with make up. Doc says it’s a papilloma and I am to have it removed under a local anaesthetic at the surgery. Has anyone had this done and if so, does it hurt Sad? Will there be a big scar?

My dad has had a few removed.

No idea if they hurt but he’s got very neat little scars from them. Not noticeable at all unless you know him really well if that makes sense?

Thank you, that’s reassuring. I’ve been told that if you can cope with root canal treatment (and I can!) the surgery is no worse than that. Kind of wish I’d gone to the doctor ages ago now, didn’t think it was a big deal.
