Fluttery feeling in chest, lightheaded

I’m sat here worrying and googling. For half an hour I’ve had a fluttering feeling in my chest and feeling lightheaded. Got a bit of pain in my left side of neck like I’ve trapped a nerve

Has anyone had this? Wondering what it is and don’t want to call 101 or anything if it’ll go away soon.

You definitely need to be seen and need an ECG. Delay no longer, call 101. Are you alone? How old are you?

I had atrial fibrillation after having a virus. It can feel a bit like fluttering and light headedness. I'm a nurse and was fairly sure that was what it was. I drove myself to A&E (normal people don't do this) and spent the night in hospital. That was 10 years ago and it hasn't happened again. If A&E is close could your fiancé take you. You would be best to phone 101 though.

Definitely get it checked out but it could be something simple like anaemia or thyroid problems. When I am low in iron I get a lot of chest pains and have a lot of palpitations- I’ve had a heart monitor and several ecgs and all is fine but you need those doing first. Since starting iron tablets I don’t have those problems anymore.

Following with interest. Lately I have been having odd fluttery feelings in my chest and then I have to gasp. I assumed it was due to the heat especially as I'm on the porky side.

I'm feeling better today. I didn't phone 101 just went to bed. Woke up this morning had a few flutters this morning but feeling a bit better.
It's probably a mix of the weather, heat and stress of 2 kids under 3 that's done it.

I'll see how it goes any further incidents and I'll phone 101.
