Wrist pain but not really

Help me make a decision.
About 3 weeks ago I fell and braced myself against a low wall with my hand. I came down quite heavily on it and my wrist hurt a bit. It was a tiny bit swollen the next day but soon subsided.
However it was and remains quite painful when lifting - to the point of ouch or twisting to scratch an itch on my back for instance. Cant do this now and slight loss of movement. I can however type etc with no pain.
The pain is on the outside of my wrist and I can't weight bear.

Do I a. Strap up and rest and see how it goes or b. Go to the doctor and see what they say, having in mind I go on holiday on Saturday.
