Swelling & pain in left arm

My left arm has been swollen for about 6 months. GP sent me for a mammogram but haven't had any results yet. Over the past week the swelling has got worse & my arm has started to ache constantly & i have pain in my left side. Phoned GP today & 1st appointment is a week on Thursday. I'm really worried. Should I ask to be seen sooner?

After reading a few threads on here I have measured my left arm & leg as now I have a kind of 'dead leg' feeling in my left leg too. Both arm & leg are 2cm bigger on the left than the right. Trying not to panic but I'm very worried. Don't know what to do

What happens when you press on the swelling, does it bounce back or take a while to go back to normal?

I’m no medical expert but a colleague recently had her ankle swell up for no good reason and the GP sent her straight to the hospital where they did tests for various parasitic diseases you can pick up from water.

There's like an indent when I press & it doesn't bounce back straight away

I would ask for an emergency appointment for your GP. You shouldn't have to wait another week with those symptoms. Or go to walk in clinic if you have one near you.

We don't have any walk in clinics here (Scotland). I'm going to phone GP 1st thing
