I am new here, just looking for some advice and support really, I have had an overactive thyroid for over 4 years now and I have been on carbimazole to treat it, I have felt great but my doctor has told me they want me to have radio iodine as I have been on carbimazole for so long, does anyone know what tests I will need before I start the radio iodine and will I need any scans, also how long should it take for my consultation appointment at my hospital? Thank you
