Clonidine for hot flushes

Does anyone have any experience of clonidine for hot flushes? I am post menopausal but the hot flushes are horrendous and I am getting desperate for help to stop them.

Yes, I'm currently on Clonidine for flushes and sweats as I refuse to take HRT. I take 50mcg morning and evening. It took about 2 and1/2 weeks to start kicking in though the side effect drowsiness sure dealt with the insomnia straight off! However I decided to persevere and am now on my 2nd months treatment and now feeling so much better. Hope it helps you....x
