Accessing medical records

Does anybody know how to access medical records when you aren't registered with a GP (living abroad)? In particular, vaccination records which were done a long time ago.
Thanks!

Guesswork, but contact the last GP you were registered with in the UK in the first instance? Surely they would be able to tell you where your records are held?

Thanks, found a form to fill out so hopefully we'll get something from that!

I do live in the UK op and I get my hard copies of my medical files updated once a year. I write a short note to the surgery manager (so in your case the surgery manager of your last practice?) stating that you wish to have your medical information, there is usually a small charge for this depending on the discretion of your surgery.

We can download ours directly from our surgery online access - they use EMIS so thefacility should be widely available, although I think it's up to individual surgries to implement it..

I think you have to be registered with a GP though, and we deregistered when we left the UK. Hopefully we've filled out the right form and will hear back before we're forced to have all our vaccinations again!
