Weird breathing when I twist?!

I suffer from health anxiety - have had CBT in the past which has really helped but every time I'm getting near to going away on holiday it gets worse. Does anyone else experience this?? My latest weird one is I've noticed that when I twist from side to side from the waist I get a feeling of my breath being forced out - it actually makes a noise and it's freaking me out - is this normal? Trying not to panic :-(

I don't think it's anything to worry about. But I'm not an expert :) It sounds like you're just putting a bit of pressure on your diaphragm when you move (not all that unlike what's going on when you burp, cough or have hiccups I suppose).

But if you're worried or in pain do see a doctor (and if you're any having difficulty breathing then of course A&E).

I know exactly the noise you mean! I haven't thought about it for years, but used to make it happen when I was young as it was weird / funny.

I'm fit and healthy, I think it's just the air moving around in response to the movement you're making. Don't worry!

Thank you for replying - health anxiety really sucks! Will try not to focus on it.
