My right nipple is very sore (but not the left one though). It feels like when I was first breast-feeding.

Also, I've been feeling sick and very tired, and weeing a lot aand dizzy from time to time. The fisrt thing I thought was 's@#t am I pregnant?' (please God no, I've already got a 3yr old and a 5 month old!) and so now I'm looking for more symptoms!!

BUT I'm on the implant so I think it's highly unlikely. I just don't get sore nipples or boobs EVER! Could I be pregnant or is there some yucky fungusy, bacteria thing that is living on my nipple?

HM (I call DS1 Haribo, so love your name), are you Breast feeding/just stopped breast feeding? Been dieting? Could just be your body getting back to normal?

Haribosmum · 30/05/2007 21:25

I stopped BF about 3 months ago (DS is lactose intolerant and only the LF formulas stopped him getting tummy ache).

Yes and Haribo is a cool name! 'Kid and grow-ups love him so, the happy baby Haribo!'

It could just be your breasts getting back to normal, if it's only been 3mths? Did you give up B'feeding slowly or have to just stop?
If you still feel like this by Friday then I'd go to the docs, just to get it checked out.

Haribosmum · 31/05/2007 07:04

Well I was trying to BF as long as possible so I guess I stopped quite gradually. It's actually not too bad this morning (sods laws eh?) So I'll see how it goes. Thanks.

How long have you been on the implant? I think it (like the pill) can give you pregnancy-like symptoms, because it works by mimicing pregnancy, hence stopping you ovulating.

bananabump · 31/05/2007 07:19

Have you possibly scratched or caught your nipple on anything? I once started with a nasty infection after I accidentally scratched my nip in the night (eczema) it was very painful and I felt like I had the flu.

Thrush can get in this way too, does it look sore or is it just a bit painful?

And could it be joggers nipple? Doesn't explain the sickness, tiredness etc (low iron levels lead to dizziness and tiredness though)

Perhaps you'd better just do a pg test just to rule it out...

Haribosmum · 31/05/2007 08:26

I've been on the implant for about 4 months now. I don't think I scratched it or anything. I think I'm just being a bit dramatic! HIGHLY unlikely I'm pregnant, guess I'll find out next week LOL. The implant hasn't stopped my AF yet . Anyway bubs is crying so better log my lazy ass off the computer and do some parenting!

Though AF had started this morning but no. So now I'm obviously thinking 'implantaion bleeding'! LOL . Of course it's probably not, this might be the month the implant stops AF arriving which would be great on one level but on another I'll constantly think I'm pregnant.LOL. Might do a test at the weekend if AF still hasn't arrived just to put my mad irrational mind at ease!
