Lump above collarbone/neck? Lymphoma?

Hi everyone, I've been worried sick. On Friday just gone I noticed a lump just above my collarbone/neck it felt about 2cm it was round and easily moved around when pressed. I googled it to find that people were saying in this area it's likely to be lymphoma cancer, this has petrified me! I was going to go to the doctors today but I had found as much as it's still very much there it had gone down quite a bit, even my husband said so, does this sound bad? Or is it positive that it's gone down even if just a little?

You can’t diagnose this yourself. Please see your GP.

Have you been unwell lately ? Or had tooth problems ? It could be enlarged gland that's fighting infection. I've had one for months. I'd get it checked out though

In my extensive experience of panicking about lumps and bumps, particularly glands, I get them up on my collarbone if I get a mouth ulcer for example. I have a problem with my ears and regularly get them up on my neck when that flares. If it's moving it's likely to just be a swollen gland and lots of other things before lymphoma. Glands are there to do a job and the fact it has shrunk would suggest it's doing just that. HOWEVER, with anything like this, get it checked out and hopefully you will get the reassurance you need.

From personal experience, Lymphoma doesn’t tend to shrink. Get thee to a doctor for some peace of mind and some tests.
