Appointment

I received a letter to say that my consultants appointment (recent virtual ct colonscopy) had to be brought forward by a week.

I rang to explain that I'm away on holiday but she said we can do the 7th - the original appointment date and time!!!
I'm now freaking out. Do you think it's serious which is why they've tried to bring forward?

I wouldn't worry. The urgency will surely have been decided when the original appointment was made. It must be something else.

They may be trying to fill a cancellation

Thank you for the replies. Turns out I have a polyp on my bowel. Unfortunately it's in an awkward place and needs removing so they are referring me to another hospital. They don't think anything sinister but it's larger than usual, said size of a grape and will do a biopsy.

Obviously really scared by this. The weird thing is it's the opposite side to the one I get pain. The specialist said it could be causing constipation though which sets it off
