Menstrual cup

DD currently uses tampons, but wants to convert to a menstrual cup. She has very heavy periods (soaks through a super plus tampon and onto a pad in 1 hour, or less). Which brand is best at not leaking as she suffers from this, and also easy to use? Stupid question but do I get the pre-birth size as obviously she hasn’t had a baby, but I’m worried the normal one won’t absorb her flow? Thanks

If her periods are that heavy perhaps she can ask her doctor to prescribe Tranexamic Acid. That amount of bleeding seems a lot. She should also ask her doctor to check her ferritin (iron stores) as heavy menstrual bleeding can cause this to be low.

The following may help with choosing the right cup.

I bought both mine and my DD's menstrual cup on femininewear.co.uk/?ls=en
There is a discount code for July and also a cup giveaway on there at the moment.

You could contact them to ask for advice.

My DD has been using a Meluna cup for over two years and really loves it but it was a bit of a learning curve at first.
